Greetings Woodland Adventist Family and Friends,
We are now well into Summer and big things are happening at the Woodland Seventh-day Adventist Church! We pray that each of you are staying well and staying safe.
We were planning to re-open our church for Sabbath School and Worship services by the 11th of July. However, we are not able to know exactly when we will be opening for services. This is due to the remodeling that is happening at the church. The platform and the folding door and wall to the side room are being remodeled. New carpeting and new pews are being installed. We think you will really like it when it's done.
On Monday, July 13th, our church family surprised us with a drive-by farewell with posters and balloons, and gifts. We are so grateful for your love for us. Thank you for your vision for our church and for being a light to our community.
As many of you know this is a time of transition for Kathy and me as we finish up our pastoral ministry here at the Woodland and Castle Rock SDA Churches and begin our retirement on August 1, 2020. Thank you for your prayers for us as we make this transition. It has been a special and joyful experience to serve as your pastoral couple these last four and a half years. Our prayer for each of you is that God will fill you with His love and Holy Spirit as you continue to serve Him in sharing His love with those who need to become friends with Jesus.
Your pastoral replacement will be Pastor Marty Jackson, with our church being reunited in the former Cedar Creek-Woodland Church District. We rejoice that you will be blessed with good pastoral leadership after my departure. Pastor Marty’s last Sabbath with the present Cedar Creek-Hawkinson Heights Church District will be August 1, 2020, as he will be preaching at the Hawkinson Heights SDA Church that day.
With all of God’s Love and Grace, Kathy and I, bid you God’s richest blessings and we look forward to meeting together in Heaven on the North side of the Sea of Glass before God’s throne.
Yours in Christ love and Grace, and in the Blessed Hope of His soon return,
Your Friends, Pastor Ben & Kathy Moor
